What is the Summer Solstice?

The Summer Solstice is one of the eight Sabbats of the Wheel of the Year and marks the longest day and shortest night. This is when the sun and the energy of the year is at the height of its power.

There is a sense of fullness and completion as we enter Midsummer and all around the energy of abundance fills the air. This is the moment to honour how far we have come, to infuse our cells with the light of the Sun as we transition into the dark half of year.

What to expect?

Our circles will always begin with a warm welcome before we open the sacred space together with the calling in of the directions. Once the circle is cast, we come into the teaching and energies presenting at this time before journeying together in meditation.

Afterwards we integrate with some self-inquiry which I guide you through and this will be followed by some divination for further guidance. The space will open up for soulful discussion and shares, before releasing the directions and closing space together.

FAQs

Will there be a replay of this circle?

Replays will be made available and sent to those who have booked on. If possible, please try and join live as the energy created within this space and connection is where the magic resides. The replay will be sent within 24 hours and available for 14 days.

Can I join the circle after it has started?

No. These circles will be a prompt start and it is advised to login and join at least ten minutes prior to the space opening. Set your sacred space, take some time for stillness and grounding beforehand and make sure you won’t be disturbed so you can really settle into this time, YOUR time. Anybody who joins after 7pm will not gain entry. This honours and respects the timeframe of all who have committed to joining live.

How do I get onto Zoom?

Make sure you have set up an account via the website www.zoom.com (this is free to do) and download the app to your device. A link will be sent to you via email but I will also send a reminder email with all the details for joining prior.

If the link or sound doesn’t work for you, always try a different browser. The ID and passcode will be in the email sent to you and this can be used to manually join from the Zoom website also.

Do I keep my camera and microphone on or off?

On entry please make sure your microphone is muted and I will make sure everyone is muted prior to starting. This avoids distortion of my sound to all participants. I also suggest headphones if possible, as this makes the audio quality much better for online events.

You are more than welcome to have your video off, but I feel it is important for the connection and sisterhood to have it on. I often advise to have it on for the opening at the beginning and discussion/inquiry at the end, but for the journeying to have it off so you can be immersed into your own sacred grove.

Do I need to bring anything?

You do not need to bring anything apart from your beautiful presence, a mug of you favourite brew and water to stay hydrated. However, I do recommend a journal to write in and if you have an oracle/tarot deck bring this too.

A candle is wonderful to set your space, along with any other sacred items such as crystals, incense etc. If we are ever doing a ritual that requires particular tools, this will be mentioned in the event description before booking your place.
